Cavaliers Rugby Academy Crowned Under 19 Cup Winners
The Cavaliers Rugby Academy has once again proven their dominance on the international stage, clinching the title of International Under 19 Boys Cup Winners at the Dubai Sevens.
This marks the second consecutive year the U19 boys have triumphed in this tournament, cementing their place as one of the top rugby academies globally.
The Cavaliers’ U19 boys delivered a flawless performance throughout the tournament, winning all six of their matches with an average of 37 points per game. Their defensive strength was equally impressive, as they conceded only four tries across the entire competition.
Months of training led to this remarkable success. The Cavaliers’ coaching team focused on refining both technical skills and team cohesion, preparing their players to handle the high stakes of an international competition.
Raoul Albert emphasised the value of preparation:
“Last year, we flew under the radar. This year, everyone knew we were coming, and the boys rose to the occasion. Their resilience and discipline were incredible.”
The Academy prides itself on offering its players more than just athletic opportunities. For Albert and his team, rugby is a tool to teach life lessons and create memorable experiences.
“Our philosophy is simple: rugby is a way to see the world and connect with others. We want our players to grow not just as athletes but as individuals.”
The Cavaliers’ next stop is the Abu Dhabi World School Festival, where their U18 boys and girls teams will compete against top international squads. This event offers another opportunity for the academy to showcase its talent and continue its tradition of excellence on the global stage.
“We’re excited to be part of the World School Festival again. It’s an incredible event, and our players are ready to give it their all.”
The Cavaliers’ back-to-back victories at the Dubai Sevens and their commitment to creating a global rugby community underscore their mission to create lasting opportunities for young players. The academy is now looking to the future, with plans to expand its tournament portfolio and secure sponsorships to support its growth.
“The Dubai Sevens is a milestone, but it’s just the beginning. We’re building something special here, and we’re excited about what’s ahead.”
