2023 marks the 10 Year Anniversary of the formation of the Dubai Warriors Rugby Football Club.

For this year’s Dubai Rugby 7s, the Warriors are entering their first senior team into the Gulf Social competition. The Warriors Barbarians will start their inaugural Dubai 7s action in Pool D at 08:40 on Friday 1st December on Pitch 2 facing the Dragons, followed by the Dubai Sharks on Pitch 6 at 12:00 and on Saturday 2nd December at 11:40 on Pitch 6 against The Camels.

The Warriors Barbarians are the brain child of Chief Operating Officer Kylie Masur and volunteer manager Eddie Presch (Ex RAK Rugby Captain and Chairman). Their collective goal was to get as many Warriors players involved in the mens team.

Since it’s induction, they have managed to include coaches, spouses, medics and parents on the team. Members of the team stem from various other local rugby clubs and have volunteered their time at the club, getting involved with various activities that help grow the tribe.

Manager Presch said;

“The Warriors is all about instilling the ethos of rugby, creating a platform for busy people to still play rugby, and an invitation to have some fun and grow the game.”
